SAN FRANCISCO — A man allegedly stole a San Francisco Fire Department ambulance on Thursday with paramedics and a patient still in the back.

Officials say medics were treating the patient in the rig Thursday morning when someone got into the driver’s seat and began driving away, according to NBC Bay Area.

The rig was stopped when one of the medics managed to get to the front and force the man to pull over. The medics then flagged down police, who took the suspect into custody.

The medics and patient were not injured during the incident. The name of the suspect was not reported.
