WILMINGTON, N.C. — A convicted sex offender was arrested this month at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after attempting to pose as a paramedic, hospital officials said Thursday.
No patients were treated by the man, and nobody was harmed, said Vince Benbenek, spokesman for Cape Fear Valley Health System.
Daniel Trey Horne, 23, of the 4900 block of Autry Highway in Autryville, was arrested July 15 by Fayetteville police and charged with a felony count of being unlawfully on the hospital premise.
