This week’s Photo of the Week comes from American Medical Response (AMR) EMT Emanuel Parrilla, showing messages of gratitude shining down on crewmembers deployed to New York City from the screens of Times Square.

“Messages of thanks and support continue to pop up everywhere and provide encouragement to our teams and to everyone working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic,” read a post on AMR’s Facebook page. “We hope everyone is staying home and staying safe while our teams work to contain the spread and continue to provide care to our communities across the country.”

Hundreds of AMR personnel and ambulances from around the country have been deployed to the greater New York area on a request from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist at the epicenter of the COVID-19 crisis.

AMR is currently mourning the recent loss of Southwest Mississippi Paramedic David Martin due to the virus.
