SOUTHRIDGE, W.Va. — A W.Va. paramedic collapsed and died returning from a routine inter-facility transfer Wednesday.
Sarah Nodurft, 27, of Boone County Ambulance Authority, had stopped to get food with her partner when she suffered a medical emergency, according to the Boone Examiner.
She and her partner had stopped to get food.
“She just fell over. I really don’t know what happened,” Boone County Ambulance Authority Director Randy Lengyel told WCHS Radio 58.
Nodurft worked for Boone County Ambulance Authority for the past five years and was a member of the Spruce River Fire Department.
“Everybody is having a tough time with this,” Lengyel said. “It’s a tragic loss for us. She was a fine paramedic and a fine person too.”
