Man accused of breaking into Texas home shot twice, apprehended, but flees ambulance
Police recaptured the man, and EMS treated and transported him

SAN ANTONIO — A man who is accused of breaking into a home early Sunday was shot by a resident and later escaped from an ambulance in which he was being treated.
According to News 4 San Antonio, police officers were driving near the 300 block of Wilmot St. around 1:36 a.m. when they heard gunshots. They found the wounded man and called for EMS.
EMS providers were treating him when the man kicked open an ambulance door and fled briefly.
Police apprehended him again.
In addition to two gunshot wounds, he was treated for cuts resulting from climbing over a barbed-wire fence, KSAT reported.
He was transported to University Hospital in stable condition.
