Crews stabilized the worker before placing him in a Stokes basket and using a rope system to lower him from the catwalk to a waiting ambulance, KDKA reports. He was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition with severe injuries to his lower body.

The fall took place as crews at Acrisure Stadium were preparing for Sunday’s Packers-Giants game, according to a statement provided by Acrisure Stadium. The worker was installing production equipment at the time of the incident, according to statements from Acrisure Stadium and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Police documented the scene using drones as part of the investigation into the incident.
