Nicole M. Volpi, PhD, NRP, is a full-time paramedic and EMS Liaison at LCMC Health West Jefferson Medical Center. She is an EMS educator, freelance writer, and speaker. Her interests include prehospital care, disaster response, professional development and exploring how STEM concepts connect to paramedicine practice.
She earned a PhD in Public Safety/Emergency Management from Capella University and a master’s degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Loyola University New Orleans. She is currently pursuing a Master of Education at Louisiana State University Shreveport, with a focus on integrating STEM concepts into curriculum and instruction.
