ROSSLYN, Va. — The American Ambulance Association is urging its members to tell members of Congress to prevent an additional 4% sequestration cut for all Medicare suppliers and providers, including ground ambulance services.

“Chronic below-cost Medicare reimbursement, increased costs, and workforce shortages have come to a head,” the association says on its website.

The AAA has a sample email on its site that people can use to advocate for preventing sequestration cuts to health care providers and temporary increase in payments to ground ambulance agencies

The sample letter also calls for expanding access to U.S. workforce development programs to help address the workforce shortfall.
