Don’t over-ventilate your patients

Get your hands on the chest and circulate what they have and don’t worry about giving ventilations in the beginning

The American Heart Association CPR guidelines have rearranged the order of CPR steps. Now, instead of “A-B-Cs”, which stands for airway breathing first followed by chest compressions, rescuers are now practicing their “C-A-Bs” — chest compressions first, then airway and breathing.

We worry about doing chest compressions over ventilation. But, when you ventilate them, you do not want to over-ventilate them.
