EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — One EMT died and another is in critical condition following an ambulance collision with a car.
The Spotswood ambulance was responding to assist with a car crash in East Brunswick when it collided with a car and overturned around 8 a.m. Saturday, WABC reports.
One EMT was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the EMT who died has not been released. NBC NY reports she was 20-years-old and was planning to start medical school soon after completing what was supposed to be her last shift as an EMT Saturday.
A second EMT in the ambulance was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in critical condition.
No patients were in the ambulance at the time.
