Calling all EMS photographers! EMS1 wants to see pictures of you in action or training. Submit a photo — it could be selected as our Photo of the Week! Be sure to include your name, department information and some background on the photo.

Therapy dog Evie joined Allina Health EMS in March. She works with her two handlers, as duty supervisors or during their admin time. The team at Allina Health, led by handler Renee L. Rosenberg, NRP, MN-CEM, ambulance operations supervisor, worked closely with the Global Medical Response Therapy Dog Team, which currently has 23 dogs, on developing the program. Allina Health is also instituting a peer support program and resiliency training for employees.

In the photo, Evie is comforting a paramedic who was involved in a motor vehicle collision. She and her partner sustained minor injuries and are still recovering. Rosenberg and Evie were on duty and took the medic home after she was cleared from the ED.
