DUBLIN — A young man has been successfully treated for a seven WEEK erection.
Medics at Tallaght Hospital in Dublin attended to the 22-year-old mountain biker after he injured himself on the bar of his bike. This resulted in a high flow of blood to his penis, which then persisted for seven weeks.
The man did not present at Tallaght Hospital until five weeks after sustaining the injury and initial treatment by medics for two weeks failed before a further intervention successfully treated the condition, known as priapism.
