ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A 3-year-old boy is alive after Bernalillo County firefighters brought him back to life.
Lt. Gary Smith said he and three other firefighters were at the station when the child’s mother brought him to them. She said she was giving him a bath when he suddenly started to shake violently.
"(The child) wasn’t breathing. He was pale. We knew he was hypoxic, didn’t have oxygen, so I had to give him mouth-to-mouth. Probably, four or five breathes,” Smith said. “He was not breathing. (He) had a very weak pulse.”
