EMTs free woman who gets hand stuck in mail chute

BRONX, N.Y. — EMTs had to help a 50-year-old woman free her hand after she got it stuck in a mail chute Monday.

The woman was trying to push a letter deeper into a mail slot at a Bronx post office when she got her hand trapped, according to DNAInfo.

EMTs happened to be in the lobby when the incident occurred, and with assistance from postal workers, they were able to free the woman’s hand.

The manager of the post office called 911, but by the time police arrived, they were already freeing the woman.

The woman left the post office uninjured and declined treatment.
