EMT denies sexually assaulting patient in ambulance

Firefighter-EMT Froeber allegedly fondled a woman in an ambulance

RACINE, Wisc. A firefighter-EMT accused of sexually assaulting a patient in an ambulance has pleaded not guilty during his arraignment on Wednesday.

Firefighter Jodin D. Froeber, 37, has been charged with second-degree sexual assault for allegedly fondling a 20-year-old woman and taking pictures up her skirt, according to the Journal Times.

The woman was being transported to the hospital because she had a seizure and was reportedly too tired from medication that was given to her to move or open her eyes during the alleged contact.

According to the woman’s complaint, Firefighter Froeber was the only person riding in the back of the ambulance with her.

Firefighter Froeber’s attorney, Jonathan LaVoy, insists that he is innocent and that he has been fully cooperative with the investigation.

Lavoy also adds that an ambulance driver was also just feet away from Froeber and the woman and that the driver said he saw no wrong-doing.
