A man was pronounced dead at North Central Bronx Hospital after he was run over by an FDNY ambulance at Dekalb Avenue and East Gun Hill Road early Sunday.

NEW YORK — An FDNY ambulance driver fatally struck a pedestrian on a Bronx street early Sunday, police and fire officials said.

The victim was hit near E. Gun Hill Road at Dekalb Ave. in Norwood just after 1:20 a.m., police said.

Medics took him to North Central Bronx Hospital but he could not be saved. Cops were trying to determine his identity.

The ambulance driver remained at the scene and has not been charged.
