Jake Gyllenhaal has 'even more respect for first responders' after filming 'Ambulance'

Trailer: An upcoming action-thriller features bank robbers who hijack a paramedic's ambulance

LOS ANGELES — An ambulance is the starring vehicle of a Michael Bay action-thriller that’s expected to appear in theaters on Feb. 18, 2022.

“Ambulance,” is based on a 2005 Danish film, according to Variety. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Eiza Gonzalez. Gonzalez plays a paramedic, Deadline reported. The two men plan a $32 million bank robbery and hijack the ambulance.

“There are a lot of scenes where I’m just being thrown around an ambulance and I’ve got to say, that gave me even more respect for first responders because there are so many sharp edges in an ambulance nobody thinks about when it’s driving as fast it is,” Gyllenhaal said.
