This EMS Week, we wanted to give our crews something with meaning.

At EMS Team, we presented hand-signed artwork from EMS artist Daniel Sundahl to our providers as a symbol of appreciation for the work they do every day. His artwork captures the emotion, sacrifice, exhaustion, compassion and humanity behind the uniform in a way words often cannot.

I have never considered myself an art lover, but these pieces speak directly to the heart of emergency services.
As Daniel shared, “Feeling valued, understood and supported is the bedrock of true appreciation.”

That message matters deeply in EMS.

Our people see others on their worst days, carry emotional weight few truly understand, and still come back ready to serve. This artwork reflects the silent side of EMS that many never see, and I wanted our crews to know that we see them, we value them, and we appreciate the sacrifices they make every single day.
