Vidacare Corporation Launches Android Version of Its Free App to Assist Health Care Professionals With Intraosseous Vascular Access

San Antonio, TXVidacare Corporation has launched an Android version of its free point-of-care app for health care professionals to answer clinical and training questions related to its EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System. The app is now available for download at the Google Play Store and features interactive guides, videos and instructions on using the EZ-IO to obtain intraosseous vascular access.

The EZ-IO mobile app was designed to serve as a quick reference guide on how to obtain vascular access using the intraosseous (inside the bone) space. In a matter of seconds, users can reference relevant information about the EZ-IO including guidance on insertion sites, needle selection, needle insertion and removal, pain management and warnings and precautions. It is currently available for Android phones and tablets 4.0 and newer. The EZ-IO app for iPhone launched in January 2013.

The EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System is the first battery-powered device to establish immediate intraosseous vascular access, and is used by 90 percent of US advanced life support ambulances, over half of US hospital Emergency Departments, and the US Military.
