Warrior selected as a JEMS Hot Product from EMS Today 2018

QinFlow’s Warrior among 30 innovative new products for emergency medical services and prehospital care.

PLANO, Texas — QinFlow and JEMS (Journal of Emergency Medical Services) are proud to announce the selection of the Warrior blood and IV warmer as a Hot Product from the JEMS EMS Today Conference & Exposition, which was held February 21–23 in Charlotte, NC.

The Warrior is a patented next generation blood and fluid warmer for the entire continuum of emergency care. It warms near-freeze fluids and blood products to body temperature in seconds, even at high flow rates. Its high performance, simplicity of operation, immediate results, and commercial affordability makes it the solution of choice for a growing number of organizations across the entire continuum of emergency care, including search and rescue teams, critical care transports, and hospitals’ emergency settings (ED, trauma, OR and ICU).

“We are very proud with the recognition of JEMS to the contribution of the Warrior in life-saving situations”, said Ariel Katz, CEO QinFlow Inc. “In such situations, where every second counts, relying on the Warrior for warming blood and IV fluids means that first responders, critical care transport teams, and emergency care professionals within the hospitals can now focus on what they do best – saving lives”, he added.

The Warrior was selected after a team of twelve judges consisting of emergency medical services (EMS) product specialists, physicians, educators, managers and paramedics reviewed a host of product contenders. The judges reviewed products designed to not only improve the ability to deliver optimal emergency medical care to sick and injured patients, but also allow EMS agencies to do it safely, more efficiently and with enhanced comfort for the patient.

Products were rated on a 1–5 scale in four distinct categories: 1) Originality; 2) Functionality; 3) Ease of use; and 4) Need in the EMS setting. The Warrior was one of only 30 products selected as Hot Products after the EMS Today Hot Products review team reviewed and rated 64 products submitted by 52 companies.

JEMS Editor-in-Chief and EMS Today Conference Chairman A.J. Heightman said, “There were an amazing group of Hot Product submissions for our reviewers to review and rate this year. All of the products reviewed were extremely innovative and well designed for the EMS industry, showing that our industry is keeping pace with the current science of emergency medicine and developing or upgrading their products to stay out in front of the science and technology curve.”

The selection of the final 30 Hot Products appears in the June issue of JEMS and can also be viewed at https://www.jems.com/articles/print/volume-43/issue-6/features/hot-products-from-ems-today-2018.html.
