Mobile Aid Station to be Displayed at EMS Today

BALTIMORE, MD – Emergency medical products and services provider DHS Systems LLC will be displaying a mobile point of distribution center from which responders could dispense vaccinations and other supplies following an emergency at the EMS Today Conference and Exposition. The conference will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland on March 4-6, 2010.

The Reeves Incident Command Post (ICP) Trailer is a unique trailer and shelter combination that allows emergency responders to bring operations directly to the incident scene. Available in models ranging in size from 109 to 214 square feet and featuring a flexible console that can be used to store everything from medical supplies to communications equipment, the ICP is versatile enough to be configured for various applications, including as a command and control center or emergency operations center.

With a starting weight of less than 3,000 pounds and 18” of ground clearance, the ICP’s lightweight, aerodynamic design can easily be towed behind most vehicles, allowing for travel anywhere – even off road.

The Reeves ICP shelter design, which has been tested to withstand gusts of wind up to 65 mph, as well as free falling and blowing rain without intrusion of water, uses the same materials as DHS Systems’ Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter (DRASH) system that has been used extensively by the military for more than 20 years.

Though relatively new to the market, the ICP has already been purchased by emergency response departments across the country, including the Hamilton County Health Department in Indiana, the Westchester County Department of Public Safety in New York and the Central Massachusetts EMS Corp.

The ICP will be on display at Booth 2722.
