Since alarm fatigue can reduce our ability to respond effectively to those alerts, the device also features a dedicated button to silence them for a period of time to allow for care to take place to correct the problems. The battery itself will last for up to 10 hours with two standard AAA lithium batteries, helping to keep your continuous cost-of-operation down and ensuring that you can continue to use the device without having to worry about recharging proprietary batteries.
One other feature of the EMMA device is that the same adapter can be used for both adult and pediatric patients, the most common of calls in which it would be utilized, helping to avoid the need to have multiple sizes of adapters on-hand to choose from in an already-complex care environment.
