MONROE, La. — The Ouachita Council of Governments expects to have a committee in charge of monitoring emergency ambulance services in place within a month.
At its regular meeting Monday, OCOG approved the appointment of the final member of the five-member advisory board. OCOG officials plan to meet with the board members as well as American Medical Response representatives in August to begin monitoring AMR’s compliance with a new parishwide emergency ambulance provider ordinance.
OCOG appointed Dr. Louis Crook of St. Francis Medical Center to serve as the board’s local hospital emergency room physician member.
