Quantum EMS Solutions launched the ACR-4 (Ambulance Child Restraint), and BABY ACR, a flexible, adjustable harnessing system designed for the safe and effective transport of infants and children in an ambulance.

The harness works by holding patients in place, preventing potentially dangerous movements during transports. The BABY ACR is designed for children weighing between four and 11 pounds; the ACR-4 is designed for children weighing between four and 99 pounds.

The devices can be connected without a bracket adapter using universal cot straps. They can also be used in a sitting or supine position, tighten into the mattress of the cot, not the patient, and feature an open channel design from the airway to the waist to safely perform medical procedures while the child is restrained.

The ACR-4 and BABY ACR will be formally launched at the EMS Today Conference in Baltimore, Md. on February 25, 2015. Visit booth 1029 for a demonstration.
