2 killed after woman crashes stolen ambulance into semi-truck

The truck driver and the woman who reportedly stole the ambulance were reported dead; an investigation is underway

FRAZIER PARK, Calif. — Two people are dead following a crash east of Frazier Park Wednesday night, according to a spokesperson with the Kern County Fire Department. 

Officials with the KCFD say a woman stole a Hall ambulance vehicle at knife point, and then crashed into a semi-truck. The crash happened in front of the Flying J truck stop located at 42810 Frazier Mountain Park Road just before 6 p.m. Wednesday night.

The KCFD spokesperson said one of the patients initially reported with major injuries was pronounced dead moments later.
