1. What was the inspiration behind starting your company?
 

The company was founded in 2006 by Irish businessman and entrepreneur Eric Gallagher, who recognized a need to revolutionize fleet management to drive greater efficiencies within the Emergency Vehicle sector. His idea and vision was to create intelligent vehicle systems that help emergency services drive safer, respond quicker and perform better than ever before. In 2006, Eric developed a CAN Bus control system as a solution for the police force in Ireland. He saw the opportunity to improve emergency service vehicles performance using intelligent hardware and software to streamline the operation and management of fleets. This has evolved into the present offering of a complete and integrated Emergency Services Fleet Management and Control System.

2. What is your signature product and how does it work?

We have several products that would compete for this accolade of ‘signature product’, so much so that it is difficult to pick one. I mean, do we choose ECO-Run which has saved our clients millions of tons of CO2, as well as saving $$$ in the process? Or what about our AVI coupled with our intelligent fleet software solutions that show, in real time, where every vehicle is along with key metrics around equipment status, vehicle data, driver behavior, and more? Perhaps, if pushed, we might say it is TracSENSE – our unique asset tracking and asset management tool that utilizes RFID technology to make sure all equipment is where it should be, while it’s maintenance mode ensures compliance with regulation and makes equipment management a breeze!

3. Why do you believe your products are essential to the law enforcement community?
 
Our products are essential to the law enforcement community because they help to minimize potential error, prevent loss/theft of equipment, and provide insights on the performance of emergency service vehicles around the world. Our solutions allow emergency service fleets to run and operate in a way that is safer, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly than ever before. In the law enforcement industry, it is vital for all electronic systems to be fully functional at all times – our products track insights on fuel speed, and performance while also keeping the vehicles and crew on the road connected. ACETECH solutions help law enforcement to respond more quickly and safely.

4. What makes your company unique?

As ACETECH continues to gain traction around the world, we are still focused on being customer-centric, as that has been our main priority since the beginning. We only try to improve upon and evolve our approach, rather than changing it, as our customer relation methods are tried and trusted. Even though we are expanding and growing, this strategy has allowed us to increase sales and support personnel, giving more time to our customers and thus ensuring that the customer experience of our products and software is optimized. From start to finish, we are fully engaged and ready to tackle any issue that could arise, ACETECH always keeps its customer relations at the forefront of operations.

5. What do your customers like best about you and our products?

Our dedication. ACETECH takes pride in working hard to perfect our projects so that these vehicles will have optimal functionality whenever they are needed. Our dedication to quality transcends the boundaries of our working space and encompasses our living spaces as well. Every week, we are welcoming new clients to the ACETECH™ fold, and still we continue to develop and innovate for the future. We continue to revamp our products and methods over time to remain innovative and successful globally in a highly competitive market.

6. What is the most rewarding part of serving the first responder community?

The most rewarding part of serving this community is being able to help first responders stay safe on the job and give them the tools that they need in order to effectively help people in emergency situations. Our products allow the drivers of emergency vehicles to have complete and customizable control of all electronics for centralized functionality and efficiency. We help first responders arrive at the scene faster, operate more safely, and stay connected. In addition, when their vehicles are operating at optimal functionality, first responders can focus completely on assessing each situation, helping those in need, and transporting themselves and others safely and efficiently. 

7. Do you support any charitable organizations within public safety?

ACETECH support numerous charitable organizations and try to help as much as we can. For example, we have been a proud supporter of BUMBLEance for several years now. BUMBLEance is the official Children’s National Ambulance Service of Ireland.  They provide a safe and comfortable transportation for Ireland’s youngest patients as they travel between their homes and hospitals, hospices, treatment centres, and respite centres nationwide. Transporting a sick child can be very difficult and extremely stressful, however BUMBLEance go with families every step of the way, with the comfort and safety of the children as their number one priority. Each BUMBLEance ambulance has it all – as well as the usual ambulance equipment it incorporates Social Media Streaming, WiFi, Playstation, DVDs, Games, Books, Colouring, Sensory Lighting, Netflix, iPad Air, Beats Headphones, Apple TV and Apple Music. But these are just some of the things that are immediately visible when you look inside the door, what is not immediately evident is the ACETECH™ equipment running underneath it all. Included in this, running underneath it all is the latest ACETECH™ AVI Intelligent Electronic Control Unit, which provides the vehicle enabled WiFi that we are proud to sponsor for these important little people.

8. Is there any fun fact or trivia that you’d like to share with our users about you or your company?

Fun Fact: Our Director of Communications & Marketing is also an actor in his spare time. You might spot him in productions such as Game of Thrones, A Dangerous Fortune, Dracula: Untold and Ripper Street to name but a few!

9. What’s next for your company? Any upcoming new projects or initiatives?

ACETECH continually develop and innovate for the future. Our drive to look for ways to improve driver’s habits that contribute towards inefficiency, innovating new technology to drive massive carbon savings and creating new software to revolutionize telematics and how it can positively impact large vehicle fleets sets us apart. We are not happy to rest on our laurels, and among some of the exciting projects in development include Machine Vision and AI projects as well as the development of a unified platform to make the job of fleet management even easier!
