LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The investigation into a crash involving an ambulance from earlier this week continues and the family of the woman killed has plenty of questions about what happened. WAVE 3’s Lindsay English investigates.
At the intersection of Rockford Lane and VanHoose Road in Shively, there are still signs of the crash that claimed 54-year-old Vicki Whobrey’s life. “It’s devastating, look at us. That was my mom,” said Maggie Whobrey, Vickie’s daughter, who is still in shock.
Vickie was there when the ambulance was called for a bloody nose, just after midnight Thursday. “She was on oxygen and it dries her sinuses up and that was it. I walked her up to the stretcher and trusted them with my mother’s life,” Maggie said.
