Mo. ambulance service expands operations with donated building

Stone County Ambulance District will improve response times with a donated building, saving taxpayers thousands

STONE COUNTY, Mo. — The Stone County Ambulance District opened its third station on April 1, expanding emergency medical services in the southern part of the county with a new facility.

Created by voters several years ago, the district now operates stations in Branson West, Crane and Lampe, KY3 reported.

“This is a huge boost for a couple of reasons,” Director Jeff Hawkins said. “It’s in a perfect location to serve this community on the south side of Stone County. And it helps greatly to improve response times, and have this ambulance already here and not have to travel out of Branson West way north of here to get to the folks on the south side.”

The Stone County Betterment Association donated the Lampe station building, a contribution officials said saved taxpayers thousands of dollars.
