VPM: Relative Positioning

Our body position relative to our patient and /or bystanders is known as, “Relative Positioning.” Inside position is the area directly in front of the patient, between their shoulders. It is the most vulnerable position for emergency rescuers. Whenever possible we should avoid inside position. Ironically, this is where we most often find ourselves during a medical response or bystander interview at an emergency scene.
