In this episode, co-hosts Chris Cebollero and Kelly Grayson discuss Kilted to Kick Cancer, a non-profit organization created to raise awareness for prostate health and fundraise for cancer research. During the month of September, the organization encourages men to wear kilts, and, when they are inevitably asked why, to bring up the topic of prostate health and cancer screenings.
The duo also discusses the resurgence of the “Confessions of an EMS Newbie” blog and podcast, hosted by Grayson. The site will serve as a discussion board for a new style of EMT education introduced by Grayson and Nancy Magee, which provides EMT students the opportunity to access hundreds of patient interactions over the course of their program.
