NEW YORK — A pregnant EMT was punched in the stomach by a drunk patient, according to officials.
New York Post reported that the EMT, who police said is in the “late stage” of pregnancy, was treating the patient for a cut and intoxication when she told him he needed to be transported to the hospital.
Police said the patient then flew into a fit of rage and punched the EMT in the stomach before running away.
The EMT was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the patient has not been found.
