NEW YORK — A Bronx man arrested after allegedly assaulting EMS providers was found to have killed his girlfriend, Bjana James, a few days earlier, Latin Times reported.

Nathan Walsh, 35, was arrested on Friday, March 18, after a 911 caller claimed he was on drugs and acting erratically. When first responders arrived, Walsh reportedly tackled one to the ground and head-butted another, causing the provider to lose consciousness.

Walsh was taken into custody at that time.

On Saturday, James’ brother and his girlfriend found James deceased on the couch, with knife wounds on her neck.

“I stabbed her a couple of times in a rage,” Walsh admitted to police after his arrest. “In the neck. She was on the couch.”

Walsh was charged with murder, manslaughter and weapon possession, in addition to assault and harassment charges for his attack on first responders.
