Watch and listen to the National EMS Advisory Council’s (NEMSAC) first meeting of the new year as they discuss a variety of topics pressing for industry personnel and the profession. The meeting will continue through Jan. 16.

Established in 2007, the council is made up of EMS representatives with the goal of providing advice and recommendations to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regarding EMS issues. The council acts as a forum, providing information from a knowledgable and independent perspective, and does not act as an authority or decision-maker.

The NEMSAC meets throughout the year to deliberate on specific issues affecting EMS systems across the nation with the goal of providing advisories and recommendations to the Federal Interagency Committee on EMS.

The next meeting is scheduled for April 14-16.
