AUSTRALIA — An Aussie paramedic who oversaw the treatment of hundreds of Indian Ocean tsunami victims in Thailand has spoken for the first time about the traumatic events of a decade ago.
Peter Davison, who responded to the Port Arthur massacre before moving to Phuket, is anunsung hero of the Boxing Day tsunami.
The humble professional from Hobart, who led and coordinated the response at thePhuket International Hospital where he is the manager of international services, said his memories of the event remain “sharp.”
