CHICAGO — A 911 dispatcher handled a call for a water rescue at a state park — only to learn later that the drowning victim was her son.
Dispatcher Tracy Wilson got the call Tuesday saying help was needed at Rock Cut State Park in Rockton after a canoe tipped over.
She knew her 17-year-old son, Mitchel Krause, had gone to the park that day to go fishing but never imagined he was the person in peril.
