LOS ANGELES —The experiences of firefighters, EMS providers and police will be showcased in a new TV show.

The show, called ‘911,’ was recently picked up by FOX and is written and directed by “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Actress Connie Britton will star in the series as a dispatcher, along with Angela Bassett, who will play a police officer, according to CBS8.

The show follows first responders as they go through crises at work.

“There are two types of emergency. The first kind is the one we all have every day,” Britton said in a promo for the show. “Then there’s the second kind of emergency, the kind that comes without warning.”

The show is set to premiere Jan. 2018 on FOX.
