LEON COUNTY, Texas — A 46-year-old medic died in the line of duty Saturday morning after he went into cardiac arrest while responding to a call.
Michael Howard worked as a Leon County paramedic for 22 years, and also served as an instructor for the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, KBTX.com reports. An autopsy will be performed.
“TEEX was sad to learn of the unexpected death of former adjunct instructor, Michael Howard,” TEEX said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.”
