BREMERTON, Wash. — After helping deliver a newborn last month, a paramedic had the opportunity to meet him.

Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue paramedic Josh Cooper responded to a call of a woman going into labor in her home Nov. 9, reported KOMO News. Cooper helped Breshon Atkins deliver her son, before transporting them both to the hospital.

“I feel like God puts awesome people in the midst, you know he places people that still bless you in the middle of chaos,” Atkins said.

Earlier this month, Cooper met with Atkins and her son, Ezekiel.

“It’s been our pleasure and really an honor to be involved,” Cooper said. “To be able to be involved in Ezekiel’s birth was a real special moment.”
