LODD: FDNY EMT struck, killed by stolen ambulance
One EMT died at the hospital and a second remains in critical condition

NEW YORK — An FDNY EMT was killed and a second was critically injured after a man stole an ambulance and struck them Thursday night.
NY Daily News reported that the EMTs were standing outside the ambulance when the man got behind the wheel and ran them down. The incident happened at 7:10 p.m. They were rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, one with severe head trauma. Police have taken a suspect into custody, according to the report.
One EMT died at the hospital and the second remains in critical condition.
