Hospital-bound ambulance collides with motorcyclist
The patient was taken to the hospital by another ambulance

ESCONDIDO, Calif. — An ambulance bound for a hospital in Escondido collided with a motorcyclist Sunday afternoon, police said.
The emergency vehicle was taking a patient to Palomar Medical Center when it collided with a motorcyclist near Auto Parkway and Mission Road about 12:15 p.m., Escondido police Sgt. Craig Miller. The ambulance had its lights and siren on.
No one in the ambulance was injured, but another ambulance had to transport the patient inside. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren’t specified.
The Sprinter train was briefly halted since the crash happened on the tracks near the intersection.
