GREELEY, Colo. — A man reported an ambulance struck him on the sidewalk near North Colorado Medical Center’s emergency room early Sunday morning but he was not seriously hurt.
“He was released within an hour,” said Lt. David Spies with the Greeley Police Department. “Doctors didn’t find any serious injuries. He’d been in the hospital for something unrelated.”
The Evans police initially brought the man to the hospital because he was intoxicated and injured at a truck stop, Spies said.
According to the report, the man said he was walking on the sidewalk about 5 a.m. near the west side of the emergency room entrance. That’s not a high traffic area, Spies said.
“It’s still under investigation,” Spies added.
Inclement weather could have contributed to poor visibility.
