Valentine’s Day will be extra special for Brian Nagel, 30, who was critically injured in January when an SUV crashed head-on into his ambulance, also injuring EMT Tim Daly, 43, who was released from the hospital in late January with both legs in casts.

The driver of the SUV also died.

After nearly a month of recovery, Nagel is expected to go home from the hospital on Friday, and will have stitches removed on Monday, reports. He has been undergoing physical and speech therapy, but has been eager to get ome.
