Man jumps into N.J. ambulance to evade gunman

PATTERSON, N.J. — An ambulance crew helped a N.J. man evade a gunman and two accomplices during an attempted armed mugging Thursday evening.

While fleeing the three men, the victim flagged down the ambulance and escaped inside, NorthJersey.com reports.

The victim was waiting for a friend when the suspects approached him, pulled out a gun and demanded his processions. Instead of complying, the man fled and soon crossed paths with the ambulance.
