Colo. ambulance catches fire while transporting patient

No one was injured when an AMR ambulance caught fire in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Colorado Springs firefighters put out an ambulance on fire near Monterey Road and Lassen Drive on Thursday evening, the Fire Department said in a social media post.

An AMR ambulance and a fire engine responded to a medical emergency near Monterey Elementary School when the ambulance caught fire, but firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.

CSFD says another ambulance arrived to transport the person suffering a medical emergency. No one was injured in the fire, and its cause is under investigation.
