Teen suffers head trauma after being hit by FDNY ambulance

A teenager, 19, was crossing the street when an FDNY ambulance struck her

NEW YORK — A teenager is in critical condition after an FDNY ambulance struck her in a Queens crosswalk, police said Sunday.

The 19-year-old victim was crossing Seagirt Ave. near Beach 26th St. in Far Rockaway when the ambulance struck her just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday, cops said.

She suffered head trauma from the crash. EMTs rushed her to St. John’s Hospital, where she remained in critical condition Sunday, cops said.

The FDNY is investigating the incident, officials said.

Cops have made no arrests and issued no tickets as they continue to investigate.
