HOUSTON — A woman who allegedly stole an ambulance from a hospital was found trapped underneath it after crashing, according to officials.
ABC13 reported that the woman stole the Acute Medical Services ambulance from Ben Taub Hospital early Monday morning, and the crash was reported 20 minutes after police were alerted to be on the lookout.
Police said the woman was found trapped in the wreckage. She was pulled out of the debris by firefighters and wrecker drivers.
According to the Houston Chronicle, police believe the woman was impaired at the time of the crash.
