ROME, Ga. — A patient was killed in an ambulance crash Friday morning.
WRGA radio reported that the Puckett EMS ambulance was transporting Tony Patterson, 55, from a nursing home to an ER for treatment at the time of the crash. The ambulance went off the road, hit two trees and flipped onto its side.
The driver of the ambulance and a paramedic on board were injured, but were reported to be in stable condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
