SPRING, Texas — A patient died and two EMS personnel were injured after a vehicle ran a red light and struck an ambulance in Texas on Friday, officials say.

The 81-year-old patient was being transported in an Acadian Ambulance rig when the rig was struck by a car, causing it to roll over at least once, according to ABC 13. The patient, a paramedic and another Acadian employee who was driving the ambulance were all transported to the hospital. Harris County sheriff’s deputies said the patient later died from her injuries.

Two people who were in the car that struck the ambulance were also transported to the hospital. The driver of the car was in critical condition; the conditions of the other three victims were not reported.

Investigators said they are reviewing footage from a camera that was on board the ambulance.
