BREWSTER, N.Y. — A Brewster Fire Department ambulance crew was injured Saturday when the rig was struck by a tractor-trailer while responding to a prior motor vehicle accident.
While responding to the injury accident on Interstate 84, the tractor-trailer hit the ambulance, pushing it into a guardrail and center median, according to the department.
Some of the truck’s load of milk spilled, and so did 250 gallons of diesel, which required a hazmat response.
The ambulance crew and the truck driver sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital.
