TUALATIN, Ore. — An ambulance and a car collided Monday, sending four people to the hospital.
KPTV reported that the Metro West ambulance T-boned the car while going through a red light, according to police.
The EMS providers were not hurt in the crash, and were not transporting anyone to the hospital at the time. The driver and three passengers in the car were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Witnesses said the ambulance had its lights and sirens on and did not stop at the red light.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the patients, their families and the crewmembers involved in today’s accident,” Metro West said in a statement.
The crash is currently under investigation. We will update you when more information becomes available.
